The Love Actually star, aged 49, revealed to fans that after 12 years of marriage, Jack felt that it was time for them to part ways. Despite this decision, Martine emphasized that their main focus will always be their son, Rafferty, who is nine years old. In a heartfelt statement shared on Instagram, Martine expressed her gratitude for their son and their commitment to co-parenting. Martine’s complete statement reads, “After much contemplation, Jack has concluded that separation is the best course of action for us after being together for 18 years, and I respect his decision. We are immensely thankful for our wonderful son, Rafferty, whose happiness and well-being have always been, and will continue to be, our top priority. Despite this new chapter in our lives, our love for Rafferty remains unwavering, and we are dedicated to co-parenting him for the rest of our lives.”
She goes on to say, “While this decision has been a gradual process, we are still navigating our way as a family and politely request privacy during this time, especially for our son. Our unconditional love for Rafferty will never falter, and it is our duty to shield him and provide a sense of security. Martine and Rafferty are currently on a holiday in Marbella, while Jack remains at their £1.9 million residence in Surrey.
