Video footage obtained by TMZ Sports showed Moss allegedly rummaging through his roommate’s belongings near USC’s campus in April and May of 2022. In one clip, Moss could be seen taking an item of clothing from the bed and stating, “I’m stealing this shirt, dude.” Another clip showed him handling a pillow from the bed and farting into it before instructing someone to take a jacket from the closet.
Although USC did not reveal how the investigation was resolved, a statement from the school indicated that once a student has fulfilled the terms of their discipline, the matter is considered closed. Moss, who had limited playing time in previous seasons, made an impact when he stepped in as the starting quarterback in the ’23 Holiday Bowl, throwing six touchdown passes in a win over Louisville. His impressive performance in the season-opening victory over LSU further solidified his position as a contender for the Heisman Trophy.
